My introduction to holster making came through a friendship with Ken Null when his shop was in Hanover Pa. He also introduced me to horsehide and the differences between it and the other types of leather that could be used. His advice has held true in the 30 years I have made holsters, many times over I have heard from working professional who have used gear made from horsehide with pictures showing like new equipment after 20 years of 24 -7 use. Skip Gochenour, director of the American Tactical Association and the NTI as well as many well known names helped shape the type of equipment that I make. Also my affiliation with the SIS unit played a large part in spreading my name among Law Enforcement units all over the country due to their reputation .
